This delivers what you expect from Polk Audio. I replaced a smaller Infiniti center that I blew with this one and the sound difference is like night and day. As beautiful as a center can be with cherry wood. Be aware that this center is very LARGE so ensure you have a proper place for this prior to purchasing.
It also performs well on concert blu-rays. I watch a lot of movies, and it always gets the job done.
I've had it for almost a year now. This speaker is great.
It produces a great sound field and the clarity is great. I am powering it with a Pioneer VSX-1018 paired with Infinity Beta 50 fronts, 12" Infinity sub, and Infinity bookshelfs.
The sound quality is great and it doesn't distort at all (at least not with my tuner at full volume). I can't comment much on the bass output because I have the crossover limiting it, but the mids and highs are awesome.
The cherry wood also looks nice.
I'm using this as my center channel in a 5.1 setup with Monitor 50s for front and rear and a 12" psw125 subwoofer. It serves my home theater/music needs very well and a price ($120 shipped) that I feel is a genuine bargain. Nice cherry wood veneer finish.
I purchased this center channel speaker to replace a Paradigm center speaker with a blown tweeter. The Polk Audio sound great but it was too bright for my Paradigm Monitor 7s. I sent it back a purchased a replacement tweeter for my Paradigm.~eddie
If you are interested in a quality center speaker than this one is for you. oh and the cherry wood line of the polk speakers are just as gorgeous as they sound.
